Capillary Pressure by Porous Plate System CPS-2K

The PMI CPS-2K is a computer-controlled system designed for determining capillary pressure curves through the desaturation of single or multiple core samples using the classical porous plate method. The measured data can be used to calculate capillary pressure versus saturation curves and generate tabulated results. The stainless-steel porous plate cell is fitted with a large semi-permeable porcelain disc used for determining capillary displacement of multiple plug-sized samples. Porcelain plates are available with threshold pressures of 1 bar, 3 bar, and 15 bar, enabling samples to be analyzed at pressure differentials up to 200 psi (approximately 15 bar).  The control panel includes a digital pressure display, pressure gauge, transducers, and a set of control valves. A gas humidifier is also included to ensure minimal evaporation during the desaturation process.
