The PMI Multi-Sample Porosimeter and Permeameter is a fully automated instrument used to measure the porosity and permeability of plug-sized core samples. The applied confining pressure can reach up to 10,000 psi. PMI software is provided for automatic control, data acquisition, computation, analysis, and report generation. Permeability determination is based on the principle of transient analysis of gas pressure decay. Porosity and pore volume are measured using the Boyle’s Law.
