Description
When a wave with known properties passes through a new medium, the wave will have changed after leaving the other side of the medium. By measuring the new properties of the wave, the acoustic velocity for the medium can be calculated as well as dynamic and elastic constants including Young’s bulk and shear, Poisson’s ratio, and dynamic moduli.
