Automated Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (Rock Core Tester)

The PMI Automated Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) system is designed to yield a non-invasive technique for the study of rock core plugs either at a fresh state or saturated with different loadings of crude oil and/or brine. The integral parts comprising the whole system should include: Magnet, Spectrometer, RF Amplifier, Probes, Gradient system, Acquisition system & software (PC based). Any other component required to complete the system PMI NMR System has provision to integrate temperature & overburden system.

Magnet: 2 MHZ rare earth magnet for low field NMR studies as applicable in oil industry.
Probe size: The PMI NMR system Probes is able to make measurements on 1 & 1.5 inch diameter core plug samples with minimum TE of 100 micro sec. or less along with gradient measurements. It have capability of permitting sequential measurements on different samples without re-tuning.
Core holder Material: Fiberglass/ PEEK or any other similar material.
Core Holder size & quantity (nos.): Should be able to accommodate core plugs of 1 inch & 1.5 inch diameter & length up to 2.5 inch. Core holders for accommodating 1 inch diameter core plugs = 2 nos. Core holder for accommodating 1.5 inch diameter core plugs= 1 no.
Additional core holder for accommodating full core (4 inch in diameter): The equipment must be capable of making complete NMR measurements on 4 (four) inches diameter core samples and length up to 2.5 inches (or more) at ambient conditions.
Core Sleeve: material should be non magnetic & should be able to accommodate low & high temperature applications.
Temperature & Pressure: Equipment will be able to make the measurements on 1 & 1.5 inch diameter core plug samples at Temperature from ambient to 100 degree centigrade (or more). Pressure from ambient to 5000 psi (or more). Equipment is capable of making complete NMR measurements on 4 (four) inches diameter core samples and length up to 4 inches (or more) at ambient conditions.
